I am looking for a vendor (or some type of connection with someone) for either Destiny or Sirsi Dynix. I'm trying to develop a research project for our Curriculum Materials Library and I need to determine which of these two programs would work better for our particular situation. Depending upon factors such as cost, specialized training, additional hardware needed, etc., I am hoping to be able to showcase one of these systems to our pre-service teachers and SLIS students throughout the research project. I have experience with both of these programs (and I'm willing to explore other circ / cat programs, if other vendors are interested in providing information to me) but I cannot seem to locate anyone since I'm now working at the academic level (most assume that I am working with an academic circ / cat system---which we are----but this project would incorporate a library system that allows our future educators and librarians with the ability to access and utilize what might be found in a K-12 school). If vendors (or company agents) are monitoring and might be interested in learning more about this project and can give me information about their systems, please contact me off-list. If librarians are working with great representatives that can connect me with someone in "upper management"....I'd appreciate some information too. You may contact me off-list also.
