Happy New Year, LM_NET Friends
I picked this email up from another list.  From previous LM_NET threads, I
know many of you have student book discussion groups and might be interested in
helping with this student's project for her MLS degree.

POSTED ON BEHALF OF Julie Falatko:
Hello,
I am Julie Falatko, a graduate student in the Information and Library Science
department at Southern Connecticut State University, currently completing the
Master of Library Science degree. As part of my degree requirements I am conducting
a research project to determine the most successful format for student book
discussion groups.
If you are a teacher or librarian who has conducted or participated in (currently
or in the past) a student book club, I would greatly appreciate your help by
completing a brief survey located at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/book-group-format.
The survey is nineteen questions long, and should take about 10 minutes to
complete, depending on how involved you want to get in answering the questions
(they are multiple choice, but there is space for additional optional comments).
Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. You may refuse to
participate in this research without any negative consequences for you.  If you
choose to begin participation in this study, you may at any time and for any
reason, discontinue your participation without any negative consequences.
If you are willing to participate in this study, please following the following
link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/book-group-format and complete the
questionnaire.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at
the address below.  In addition, Southern Connecticut’s Institutions Review
Board (HHRP) can be reached by telephone at (203) 392-5243.  Thank you, in
advance, for your consideration.
Thank you so much for your help! If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me at juliefalatko@gmail.com
Please feel free to pass along this message (or the survey URL) to any of your
colleagues who have been involved in student book clubs.
 Thank you,
Julie
