Hello and Happy New Year!

Please take a look at this teacher request and help me create a list
of books in the 5th grade through high school reading level. Thanks in
advance!

Request:
Fiction in which the setting really influences the story (both you and
I know this to be true of the vast majority of books, but I wants to
students to hone in on the setting and think about how it affects the
story line).

Their book report will eventually analyze the main character in that
setting (retell--pointing out the MAJOR actions/reactions &
interactions UNIQUE to that setting).

Subsequently, they will rewrite a small portion of the story,
dramatically changing the setting, and summarizing how the story
changed.

I was thinking about the genres of mystery, adventure, fantasy,
historical fiction, or science fiction.

If you could pull some books that would be great.
