[LM_NET] GEN lost preview books

We received with permission preview books from a publisher. We did not find 
anything that fit our needs and returned them with the packing label.  I am getting 
calls that the boxes were never received. Have you had experiences with this 
situation? Am I responsible for the books? Note that I will never do this again.
