Good Afternoon,

I have recently gotten a request from one of my fellow teachers to help her
in compiling a list of suggested titles for a Reading Across the Disciplines
course. This class has been created as a requirement for high school seniors
who did not pass the CAPT (our state tests in CT). The class is made up of
students at a variety of levels, both academic and special education
students included.

Does anyone have some "great reads" they might like to suggest? The class is
going to be predominantly male (about 90%), so I am looking for some books
that would target this audience, but would also be enough "off the beaten
path" that they would not be repeating novels they have covered in previous
courses.

Thanks for your help!

Sincerely,

Jessica Wismar
