AASL is currently seeking proposals for three upcoming leadership opportunities within the association. The submission deadline for all opportunities is January 29. AASL is accepting proposals for presenters during April to lead a webinar on one of the four chapters of "Empowering Learners: Guidelines for School Library Media Programs." AASL is looking for a member volunteer to serve as Curator of a Learning4Life (L4L) themed National Partner Gallery. within the National Gallery of Writing, a virtual writing exhibit created by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) in conjunction with the National Day on Writing. The project would run until June 2010, but may be extended based on funding. Finally, AASL is seeking an Editorial Board Chairperson for the Essential Links wiki hosted on AASL's Web site. Essential Links is a collaborative community database of program development resources for school library media specialists. The Editorial Board Chairperson will be responsible for leading the overall continued development of the Essential Links wiki. Familiarity with wikis is important.
