Hello! I recently heard that I will probably be getting 10 netbooks to supplement the 10 desktop computers in my library. I had requested additional desktops computers in order to accommodate a full class of students, and this is the solution that was offered for the time being. (our classes range from 20-25 K-6) I want to make the best of the situation, but I'm not sure how to manage a class of 25 students with 10 on netbooks and 10 on desktops. Our students' technology skills range from below basic to expert. I'm looking for advice from anyone who has experience using netbooks with students. I've never used a netbook, but I hope they'll have one for me to borrow and practice with before school starts. Aside from size, are there any significant differences between a netbook and a laptop? What is the youngest age you would recommend using a netbook? I'd like my K's and 1's to get started, but think that may be unrealistic. What are the pros and cons? I'll post a HIT. Thanks in advance!
