My son is writing his first college research paper and his topic is Thomas Bowdler and "bowdlerization". I must admit I had never heard of the man or the term but it is most definately a library issue. My questions to you wise one is this: Is bowdlerization the same as censorship or more like and abridged work? Would you rather have works on you shelves bowdlerized or banned. To those who choose to reply, thank you for taking time to respond. Also please reply directly to me. Thank you so much. -- Mindy Linthicum, LMS Newman Middle School Skiatook, OK 74070 mlinthicum@skiatookschools.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
