Thanks to everyone who responded. While a few disagreed, the overwhelming
response was kinders are not ready to use the OPAC. I did not mean to
intimate that they could not do research. I do non-fiction reading with them
and some research with them as a team teaching session with the
teachers.....but the books are chosen for topic, content and level
beforehand.
My concern was trying to teach them to use the OPAC to find a nonfiction
book and then go find the book.
Again... I thank all of and appreciate having this wonderful group to bounce
ideas off.
