Thanks to those who answered me!! I haven't made up my mind who I would like
to come visit, but these were great ideas!

We just had Michael Anthony Steele visit us last week. We are in Oklahoma.
I am not sure where all he goes but you might check him out. He was pretty
good.

Have you considered inviting Mike Artell or Carmen Agra Deedy?

David Mark Lopez is GREAT! He write a series called,"Maddie's Magic
Markers" and they are history mysteries written with "real"language between
father & daughter. He is fun, entertaining, my 4th graders love him and
he's reasonably priced.

I know that Rooster Morris travels everywhere from Central Texas. He has
been to Birmingham, Atlanta, and Tupelo, Mississippi on one trip. He is
wonderful with the 2nd through 5th grades. Follett says his books are
targeted to 3-5 grades.

I just attended a WPSLA workshop about inviting authors to visit using Skype
yesterday. It seems that many authors are game for this and it's very cost
effective as they don't have the leave the comfort of their homes.
If this is something you're interested in, one of the websites where you can
see a list of interested authors is: http://skypeanauthor.wetpaint.com
