Dear Colleagues, The librarian in my small rural Maine public library has just won a sizable grant to buy a collection of early chapter books/transitional novels for SECOND AND THIRD GRADERS. She's looking for your suggestions of those titles that are very popular in your collection and that you consider to be valuable. (I checked the archives using "early chapter books" and "transitional novels" and we haven't seen a HIT on this topic in recent years.) Her name is Sharlene Fields. Please send your suggestions to her at director@westbuxtonubliclibrary.org. She will compile a HIT that I'll post back to you. Thanks, -- Toni Buzzeo, MA, MLIS <mailto:tonibuzzeo@tonibuzzeo.com> Maine Library Media Specialist of the Year Emerita Buxton, ME 04093 http://www.tonibuzzeo.com NO T.
