[LM_NET] TAR: Fun Library Statistics

I'm needing some unusual, fun facts about libraries.  I have one from years ago, " 
There were more public library
visits that McDonalds' hamburgers sold in the US in 1999."   I don't know where it 
came from.

I've looked at the ALA website, but it is solid facts.  I'm looking for the offbeat 
facts about public or school
libraries.

Where can I look?  Thanks.
