Many of you have experienced cuts in library media specialists (or you own
positions have been eliminated) in your districts. I'm interested in documenting
the negative effect that cutting a full-time LMS has had on your district, i.e.
instruction, collection development, test scores, etc. The more you can share the
better. Can you please share with me some hard data that you have in these areas
(or others if you feel it would be good fodder to support NOT eliminating an LMS
position) based on the negative repercussions you have witnessed in your district.
I'll collect the information and post it on a wiki for everyone to use. Please
also include if it is OK or NOT OK if I cite you and your district as the source
and the size of your district so people can compare comparable district information.

Thanks in advance for sharing information.
