[LM_NET] YSL Reading 2010 conference

Despite it having to be evening or even later in the US, I have had a number
of queries about how the online conference woks so I thought it might be
easier to post this to everyone.

Once you have registered (http://yourschoollibrary.org) you get access to
the site where the conference is held.  Each day, the link to a new
presentation is posted - this could be a text document, a slideshow, a
vidcast - whatever the presenter chooses.  Each presentation also has a
blog, facilitated by a host, that is live for 2-3 days after the
presentation so people can post their responses (if they choose) at a time
suitable to them.  

There is access to the papers for some time after the conference is over, so
it is all about overcoming time and distance barriers.  At this stage I am
not sure if the timetable has been worked out but Krashen will be first on
May 25.  You can see the scope of the presentation by clicking on Course
Details.  The organisers are able to tap into the top-shelf in the field so
it is definitely value for money.
