Next year, I might leave off "A Separate Peace" and I'd leave off the Odyssey if it 
was up to me.  I'm not sure what I would replace them with!

For the summer, our 9th grade reads Buddha Boy by Kathe Koja.

During the school year, the lit teacher makes a call based on the students'
level and does either To Kill a Mockingbird or The Chocolate War.  And she finishes 
the year with either Romeo and Juliet or Othello.
