I've been slowly working on convincing the head of the English department that there are YA books that are curriculum worthy - I've made some progress on getting books such as "The Book Thief" added to the summer reading options. I'd really appreciate it if the collective brain could suggest books I could suggest as summer reading additions, or actually adding to the curriculum. So - YA lit with themes to be discussed, and really well-written. Due to budget constraints I have not been able to order a lot of fiction this year, and am feeling a little out of touch with what is new and exciting - I haven't gotten to read a lot myself lately! I'll be glad to post a hit. Thanks, Karen Ulric Library Media Specialist Bernard J.
