Have any of your districts adopted the approach to copyright and fair use laid out in the book Copyright Clarity by Renee Hobbs? I attended a meeting of the technology integration staff in my district yesterday and one of them is reading the book and anxious to adopt many of her opinions/procedures on using the intellectual property of others. She apparently did a multi-year study which was funded by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. I haven't read the book yet, but from the conversation yesterday it sounds like a much more liberal interpretation of fair use than what I have always read about here on LM-NET and in other journals and books. I realize things are evolving rapidly and just wonder what other districts are doing. Thanks for any information you can give me.
