[LM_NET] TAR: Alt Ed Program

We are starting an alternative ed program in our county and I'm working with the 
language arts teacher in trying to select books/programs.  She's looking for hi-lo 
books that have a theme of choices.  We're already looking at Bluford or Orca and 
Volponi.  I'm looking for something that maybe isn't a series but a great stand 
alone that incorporates many of the challenges facing these students.  Anyone have 
a great suggestion?
