[LM_NET] OT: Teacher Pay in 1977

I'm making a PowerPoint to show on Tuesday for one of our retirees that has been at 
our school the longest.  She started in 1977 so I want to give a statement about 
what her pay would have been like.  Does anyone know the average teacher pay (in 
Georgia???) in 1977?  The closest I've been able to find on the Internet is that 
the average yearly wage at that time was 9,779.44.  I'm sure teacher pay wasn't 
that much!  Any help would be appreciated!  I'm hoping someone out there still has 
a checkstub from then!  Ha...  I'm doing a comparison of then and now on each slide 
(what kind of car she might have gotten into at the end of the day then and what 
she drives now, pay then/now, how she listened to music on 8-track-tape then or 
iPod now, etc.).
