Please forgive cross-posting, but a great batch of freebies worth the
read...

Two top titles to download every week - one classic, one YA - to hook
listeners young & not-so-young on the best in audiobooks. Perfect to promote
in school & public libraries and classroom summer reading lists. A feature
to include in displays kicking off June is Audiobook
Month<http://www.audiopub.org/events-jiabm.asp>.
Fantastic vacation family listening. And a simple way to keep kids involved
with great books over the summer break. What a terrific collaboration of the
Audiobook Community <http://www.audiobookcommunity.com/>! Here's the scoop
straight from the Sync
website<http://www.audiofilemagazine.com/sync/info.html>:

• SYNC is an online community that seeks to build the audience for
audiobooks among readers 13 and up.

• Each week, SYNC will give away 2 FREE downloads--a popular Young Adult
title paired with a Classic title that appears on Summer Reading
lists--starting July 1 through September 1, 2010.

• SYNC <http://www.audiofilemagazine.com/sync/info.html> is hosted by Audiobook
Community <http://www.audiobookcommunity.com/>, a new social networking site
for the discovery of audiobooks.

• Listeners can choose to join a conversation about these titles with
authors, narrators, publishers, librarians, and other listeners. (Listeners
are not required to join Audiobook Community to follow the conversation on
SYNC nor to download FREE titles from SYNC.)

How can Schools, Libraries, & Bloggers Participate?
• Tell your patrons, students, and readers about this opportunity.

• Use any of the SYNC tools to lead readers / listeners to the FREE
downloads of great YA and Classic audiobook titles.

• Become a member of Audiobook Community and join the SYNC group within the
community.

• We encourage educators, librarians, and others to create profiles for
their institutions and reading initiatives.

• Be part of discussions about titles, narration, and listen-alikes.
