LM_NET Archive

Valerie,

I did this one year too but with clip art, a color printer, the laminator and
some fishing line....made the slides in PowerPoint, mounted them on colored
paper and hung them from the ceiling tiles down to just above each shelf area.

Hi Valerie - why not get creative and do something a bit different and 3D - may
take some retail therapy on your part because I don't think you'll find them in
'library' suppliers.

A little Fairy attached to the shelf where the fairy tales are located - could
hang from the ceiling with the call number. A dragon is also good for myths and
legends. Now let's get creative -
An insect
A skeleton
A cupcake
A dinosaur ...

You get the picture - takes browsing to a whole new level!

Subject: [LM_NET] Library decoration

I am looking for sites that sell decorations for the library.  My principal has
told me to buy some new items for decorating the library after a new
renovation.  I would love standees for on top of shelves, decor for the walls
and characters either stuffed or sign like for the bookshelves. Any ideas?  I
have checked out the usuals; Demco, Highsmith, Upstart and Scholastic.  Other
thoughts are appreciated.
