Last year, as part of a district-wide reading promotion, everyone in our
schools (K-12) read the same book and then participated in various
discussions and activities. The book we used was A is for Amazing
Moments: A Sport's Alphabet Book by Brad Herzog. Herzog visited many of
our campuses and made excellent presentations. He was entertaining while
promoting the importance (and fun) of reading and writing. He has
several presentations available, including one workshop format where
your students produce their own school alphabet book. In addition to the
book we used, Herzog has numerous other titles.
Brad Herzog would like to do more author visits this year, especially in
Texas. If you are in the market for a good author, you might want to
