Internet for Elementary students

My 1st & 2nd grades (14 in all) participated in the FrEd Mail Santa project--
it was a great hit.  Students either dictated or typed their letters and then
received a response back from students from Maine, Ca, Kansas, TX and SC.  We
also got publicity from TV, radio and newspaper about it.  FrEd Mail has wonder-
ful projects for elementary students. Access through Internet?  Not sure how,
except that you can subscribe to Hilites by sending a request to:
nsutherl@bonita1.cerf.fred.org.  If you want me to dig further for more details
--or someone else knows how to access FrEd directly from Internet, post a note.
