SEC: ideas for short projects on the Age of Exploration?

Our (one!) very creative social studies teacher (As I mentioned in the
previous posting, her last project, on Incas and Mayas, had students create
travel brochures for people traveling back into those cultures). Does
anyone have any ideas for a short, creative project students could do
related to the Age of Exploration? Students are 9th graders.
