My fourth grade teacher is seeking a title to use with her students to teach compare/contrast concepts. We looked at the books of opposites in our library and they were VERY basic, so basic that she did not think they would create the higher level thinking she wanted with her students. An example of what she will have students write about would be the good features of a rose (sight/smell) and the bad features of a rose (thorns/care of plant). Can anyone suggest a book that might be more advanced than the Hoban books on up/down, in/out etc.? As usual, TIA!!! -- Mary Croix Ludwick, MLS B.B.
