Please help. I am in the position of getting books into the hands of
deserving student organizations. A group of people concerned about literacy
has offered to purchase 150 top quality current children's books if I can
come up with the best (I know this is a judgment call) works of literature
for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in ten categories. They want one for each
grade in the genres of short stories, poetry, biography, non-fiction, humor,
fantasy, science fiction, mystery, and realistic fiction. The books should
be current, perhaps not older than two or three years and can include
picture books. If they like the selections, they might duplicate them to
worthwhile organizations.

TIA, and I will compile the results and post a hit when we have finished the
selection.
