Howdy, Our middle school will conduct an all-school week long project at the end of next month, with lots of research, centered on four social themes - health, environment and development, justice, and teens. The organizers want to be able to kick the event off with four relatively quick (1 or 2 hour at most) simulations or games linked to the themes. So that's what I need, four good games or simulations that a group of 30 could participate in (they could be separated into smaller groups of almost any size). I have done web searches and checked LM_NET archives for simulations, but everything I have come up with is either web-based or not addressing these topics. Our books at school don't address our needs either. I want to wow the teachers during the research component - this is my first year at this job. And I think I can do that with what I have here. It would be a real coup, though, to provide ideas for the game. I'm already in debt to this listserv, and will provide a hit of all the help I hear. Feel free to respond personally.
