I had a request to post a hit of responses, so here they are: I've done this simply by creating an image of a card using Clarisworks (the drawing part of the program). I copy and paste it into Photoshop (or Graphic Converter or Paintshop Pro) to create the image needed for PowerPoint. Would you consider doing something old fashioned? I made overlays on overhead transparencies. Used if for years. Just a thought Two ways I teach this lesson. The first is that I scanned a set of catalog cards and developed a presentation using Power Point. This was shown on my TV with the computer connected. The program that I have has the capabilities of marking the presentation as I go along. What ever I am talking about has a bright pink circle around it. I have put in for a bigger monitor this year so that the kids will really be able to see it. This is the high tech way. The low tech way is a set of transparencies with overlays. Just the basic card and then an overlay for whatever other card you are talking about. They were made on the computer and printed out on a laser printer. This easy and neat with the kids I hope that this helps Why not scan an actual main entry card as a graphic file that you then use PowerPoint to show? You can make any changes you want that way. you can create a simple program using HyperStudio - it is perfect for these presentations. Many thanks for those who responded!
