Part of our 2nd grade curriculum is studying patriotic symbols. I have one very creative 2nd grade teacher who has the children do research on these symbols. However, as she is trying not to have too many duplicates, she assigns things like "democracy' which is not exactly what I consider a symbol. Does anyone have a list of "official" patriotic symbols that I can pass on to her?
