I have asked our principal to suggest a moment of silence along with the playing of our national anthem tomorrow. I agree that this is our generations' "Pearl Harbor." It is much more so, as this was targetted against civilians, not military targets. I hold the governments who harbor these terrorists responsible for these actions. This was an act of war. The Star Spangled Banner O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? I have never felt this way. It bothers me that I feel this way, but I think a strong message needs to be sent that retaliation will occur, strongly and swiftly. I am concerned about my brother-in-law as he has been travelling to to NYC on banking business--I am waiting for a call from my sister assuring his safety.
