I have a professor who is from Lebanon and he told us that there are two
things of how people in our country are depicted in his country in the
media, movies, etc.  One is we all have lots of money and I think the other
one was we don't work hard.  He's been here five years and states that both
are farther from the truth.  Even in So.American countries when my daughter
has lived once for a year in Bolivia and once for 4 mths in Venezuela, plus
the exchange students we've had contact with have said these things about
us.  It's scary!  Donna

No. I think people here believe this event is of such... magnitude that
the children should not be ... what's the right word? Deprived of being
witness to it?
