Virus

Just a quick heads-up for all listserve members...
Yesterday as I was going through and deleting emails I had received on
the listserve over the weekend, a large, black circle popped up on my
computer screen.  Around the edges of the circle the desktop was still
visible, and any icons that you could see were still functioning
normally, however, I could not move or select and delete the circle.
After unsuccessfully attempting to get rid of the circle through a shut
down, I called the district technology staff. =20
The determination:  I had been hit with a worm virus, spread via email.
It's name:  W95.Hybris.  It took the tech person several hours of virus
scanning to isolate the program and get it off the computer. =20
Hopefully noone else was hit, as I didn't see any other announcements
this morning!
