I am trying to help a social studies teacher in my school find first person narratives of the "trail of tears," the forced relocation of Cherokee Indians to Oklahoma. I have searched Google, and the American Memory collection. Although I can find lots of information about the Trail of Tears, but I haven't been able to find any personal narratives. Can anyone give me some suggestions on where to look? Thanks!
