I just landed my first job as a school librarian. I'll be in a middle school (6th, 7th, & 8th)--after 3-years as a classroom teacher (4th grade). During the summer, I'd like to do some reading to prepare myself for my new job. I'm in a master's program focused on school librarianship, so I'm getting a general overview of the profession. Of course, I've read _Information Power_. I'm looking for books that have specific tips, ideas, etc. for working with middle school students. The recommendations needn't be limited to library settings. Please recommend some must-reads. I'll post a hit. Thanks! Diane Strickland Student University of North Texas dianes@hot.rr.com P.S.
