CABLECASTING MUSIC PERFORMANCES

As Director for Media and Technology Services of a large school division =
with a TV studio that broadcast regularly on our educational cable =
channel, we broadcast all our holiday music programs with assurance from =
our cable company that they had adequate license coverage through BMI =
and ASCAP.   Our attorney approved this arrangement, but our school =
division also carries the BMI licensing for other purposes.  We have =
done this for probably 5 or 6 years.  Our cable provider is COMCAST, but =
you may want to check with your local cable company just to be sure =
about your situation.
