TAR: Online/Email Newsletters

I will be teaching a workshop this fall on using online e-newsletters to
keep up-to-date on a variety of informational topics. I subscribe to
several  e-newsletters and have found them to be invaluable. I'm not
referring to online discussion groups such as LM_NET, wonderful as they
are, but free subscription-based email newsletters.

An example of the kind of newsletter I'm thinking of would be Education
World Site Reviews, or Classroom Connect's Library Hot Five, or the
Eisenhower National Clearinghouse (ENC) Digital Dozen, among others.
Others would be "quotes of the day" e-mails, ASCD Smart Brief, and a
couple of others I don't recall at the moment.

I subscribe to ASCD Smart Brief to keep informed about current
educational topics and administration. I subscribe to the "quotes"
newsletters because my principal needs quotes for our staff and parent
newsletters. Some newsletters are strictly for reviews and "best
resources" that I can share with my teachers or students. I want to make
sure I don't miss any of the "good stuff"!

What email newsletters do you subscribe to that you find essential, for
whatever professional purpose? Please include the name of the newsletter
and the subscription information or URL, if possible.
