The Georgia Association of Media Assistants (GAMA) is the organization =
for students in grades 5-12 who assist library/media specialists or who =
work with literacy or technology programs in Georgia's elementary, =
middle or high schools.  Have you ever considered having a GAMA chapter =
at your school?  By sponsoring a GAMA chapter you will be providing =
students the opportunity to explore the possibility of become media =
specialists in the future.  Remember our profession is slowly getting =
older.  We need to be actively recruiting our replacements!

GAMA is jointly sponsored by the Georgia Library Association and the =
Georgia Library Media Association.  Information on how to form a GAMA =
chapter, the history, and necessary forms may be found at the following =
website:   http://www.library.gsu.edu/gla/committees/gama/

Our first GAMA State Board Meeting will be held Saturday, October 30, =
2004 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. in the Media Center of Stockbridge High =
School in Stockbridge, Georgia.
