I need some quick help. I have a colleague whose son must have some
information for a Monday assignment. His college speech instructor wants him
to use a quote, such as Robert F. Kennedy's words, "Only those who dare to
fail greatly can ever achieve greatly" and find examples and statistics to
back it up. Then by Friday, he must give a speech on it.
He does not have to use this quote; he could use any. It could be "A
misfortune is but a stepping stone to fortune." I was thinking I could help
him find the list of people (with statistics) who had tried and failed many
times before success (that I know I have read before). This particular piece
has how many times Lincoln lost elections, how many times Edison failed
before inventing the light bulb, etc.
Does anyone know where I could find some resources and statistics for
them? I would love to be able to help her.
    Thanks!
