Seems to me that researching for writing about an English topic involves a
different set of resources than what the SS, Sci, or
Health teacher would need. Focusing research on English topics limits kids to a
small sample of the resources we provide and that
they would need to be successful in all the other classes.
The type of material being researched might also involve different techniques also.
Primary sources like historical newspapers
involve a different type of reading than tabular data in a science report.
