Hello again - I need to clarify something with the LM_Net audience. I know that I can find lexile numbers through Baker and Taylor, Follett, and a variety of other places. What I am asking is this: How can I evaluate a book to get a lexile number without going through 20 pages of scanning and uploading text into the analyzer? Is there a format to follow? We already have the books lexiled that have been given numbers, it is only the titles that DO NOT have any lexile assigned to them through the publisher that I am concerned about. I know that you can upload your collection to a variety of places and have THOSE BOOKS THAT HAVE LEXILES assigned affix the lexile number to your MARC record. Again, I am only concerned with the books that have never been given a lexile. Sorry I am confusing some of you and thanks to all who have taken the time to respond.
