Hi, I am developing an integrated unit on zoo animals for first grade classrooms district wide. They will be doing research and I wanted to make a web page with zoo animals that is readable for Kindergarten and first grade. I don't want to re-invent the wheel, but I need something that is very easy to read. Do you know of any zoo sites that are geared toward first grade? I have visited many zoo sites but have not found any suitable for first grade readers. I would like something on the order of: The cheetah runs 60 miles an hour. The cheetah runs this fast for a short way. The cheetah is yellow. The cheetah has brown spots. The ceetah has brown tear drop fur coming from his eyes. I also need a site that has pictures that I could use on my own web page. I will be visiting the Denver Zoo to take some pictures, but the zoo may not have all the animals I need. Any suggestions?
