I finally got to see the new Nancy Drew movie and I urge anyone who ever enjoyed reading a Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys or Bobbsey Twins or Trixie Beldon book to go. It's been YEARS since I saw a movie so understanding of its source material. I came out of the theater just in awe that they got it made with so few Hollywood "improvements." About the only thing they added was setting part of in Los Angeles, I would have been happier seeing her solve something near River Heights with George and Bess in tow, but I suppose running her up against "normal" kids was thought needed to add some tension. Anyway I've heard that crowd turn out has been kind of low around here and I hope that you will take this as a prod to action to go see in theater to tell Hollywood, this is the kind of movie we want made from books. I hope it's a sign that Walden's philosophy are catching on elsewhere. Sarah S.
