Some more thoughts on eliminating Dewey.
- Bookstores make it notoriously difficult to  find specific books.
- It could adversely affect the bookstore bottom line if you  could find the 
one book you were looking for instead of settling for 2 or 3  similar books.  
Bookstores clearly know this.
- As a 60-year public library user I personally feel that my  needs are being 
ignored in order to possibly attract people who aren't interest  in using 
libraries.  Why?
