Last year I thought I had lost my one copy of Higher Power of Lucky, but it was returned.... I have been trying to get someone, anyone at my school to read it. Finally, after offering a candy bar to any kid who will read it and pass the AR test, I had one of my top 5th grade boys take it on. He checked out the book at the beginning of December; he finally returned it today. (He claimed he had had to do a book report and other homework, so he couldn't get to it until now.) The review: "I liked it. It's a good book. Not the greatest, but it's OK." That's better than what the teachers who tried it said! :) Ron Wagner Teacher-Librarian Felida Elementary School Vancouver, WA ron.wagner@vansd.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
