LM_NET Archive



A great way to do that is use part of the booksprouts.com program, where
students can select a book as a recommendation and everyone who is in
that club gets to "vote" on which book they'd like to read.
I guess it's somewhat about ownership of the club....if they choose the
reading, vote on it and the adult is the mediator, they may feel more
responsible and engaged in the entire process.

One great way to get them to stop complaining is to make them
responsible for picking the book.  My two books clubs go online, read
reviews, look at Barnes and Nobel, Borders, and TeenReads.com, and pick
the book themselves.
