LMNetters,
This recipe is SO easy!  I bring it to most of my school functions and people 
rave!  Here it is...
 
Chocolate/Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats
 
1 cup Karo
1 cup sugar
1 cup Peanut Butter (I use smooth, but my husband likes the chunky kind)
6 cups rice krispies
1 pkg. butterscotch chips
1 pkg. milk chocolate chips
 
In a small saucepan, mix together the Karo syrup and the sugar.  Heat on medium 
heat until boiling.  As soon as you see bubbles, remove from heat.  Add this 
mixture to 6 cups of rice krispies and 1 cup of peanut butter. Spread this in a 9 X 
12 pan. Melt the butterscotch and chocolate chips ( I use the microwave) and spread 
over the rice krispies.  If serving soon, refrigerate so the topping will not be 
messy.  If serving at a later time, let the dessert sit.
 
I recommend using name brand ingredients.  I have tried using generic versions of 
the above items and I hate to say it, but...it just doesn't taste as good.
