Great bit on The Simpsons last night. Bart complains to Homer that Lisa is
making him see both sides of an argument again, something she's not supposed
to do. When Homer intervenes, she says "Shouldn't Bart have all the
information he needs to make an informed decision?"

I've been thinking about where I should post that in my library.

"When I read about the way in which library funds are being cut and cut, I
can only think that American society has found one more way to destroy
itself." Isaac Asimov (from his autobiography, I Asimov)

And so the moment we persuade a child, any child, to cross that threshold
into a library, we've changed their lives forever, and for the better. This
is an enormous force for good. Barack Obama, President of the United States
of America
