HIT: Thanks for ALL the wonderful comments on the date due stamps. A very few stated that they did not use the stamp. The overwhelming majority still use a date due stamp. One library also uses a date returned stamp with a different color ink. The reasons were: less paper wasted (receipts are lost and become litter), quick look at circulation stats (the book is or isn't being checked out), physical reminder for students (cut down on one schools overdue fines and lost books).
