"Awesome! Teens in Your Library", the second Upstate Librarians' Network for Teens Conference will be held at the Adirondack Community College, Glen Falls, NY on May 13, 1994 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Conference will feature YA author Patrice Kindl, author of OWL IN LOVE, a 1994 ALSC Notable Book and 1994 Recommended Book for Reluctant Young Adult Readers for its keynote address. Workshop titles include "Comics, Magazines, Graphic Novels & Paperbacks," "Wicked Good! Writing Workshops for Teens," "Plain Talk: Preparing a Needs Statement for Grant Applications," "Wealth Watchers: Funding Tactics," "Multimedia CD's: the Basics," and "Multimedia CD's: An Exhibition." The registration fee of $25.00 includes continental breakfast, lunch and handouts. Deadline for registration in May 6. The conference is a cooperative project of the Mohawk Valley Library Association, the Southern Adirondack Library System, the Upper Hudson Library System and the Clinton- Essex-Franklin Library System. CD programs are funded, in part, by a LSCA Title I grant to the Mohawk Valley Library Association by the New York State Library.
