Censorship Problem

One of our area schools is having a challenge to these two books:
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle
Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula LeGuin

Needless to say, the lms is very concerned. We have contacted the
Intellectual Freedom Committee of our state library association
and have begun gathering reviews, information, etc. It would be
helpful if any of you have been through challenges to either of
these books would share your experiences or offer any advice.
The school does not yet have access to Internet so please send
any replies to me and I will forward them to the librarian.
